What is Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)?
For this examination we use the Hyperion x-9™ cone beam CT scanner. It is a non-invasive, comfortable, safe, fast, and precise X-ray investigation that is guaranteed to deliver outstanding results.
Cone beam computed tomography, also known as 3D CT, produces high-resolution volumetric images depicting jaw anatomy in three dimensions. This enables detailed analysis of the existing condition and precise treatment planning. Compared with conventional computed tomography, this examination delivers a lower radiation dose, and the procedure itself takes very little time.
What is jaw 3D scanning used for?
This type of dental scanning enables dentists to plan complex procedures such as dental implant placement, which requires a high degree of precision.
